Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and ex

I was browsing through the magazine rack yesterday when I came across a good publication on compact. It was amazing. I can't believe those guys are selling the compact magazine for so cheap. Immediately grab 2 copies, one for me and one for my buddy friend. He too said it was a good magazine on compact. You know how it is with us guys, we just love to talk about compact. We felt we got a good bargain so we're satisfied.

How I Feel

I have this friend of whom I do really enjoy being around. But he thinks he's like the smartest person on the planet - Literally. I mean, this guy thinks his some sort of Einstein, but even though he's had a PC for the last 10 years, he still doesn't know how to do some simple tasks on his computer. Just because he's can understand stuff like wedding, and I mean he really knows just about everything inside that subject, it doesn't make him a super smart dude. It's frustrating that he is actually highly intelligent so it's true that he's really got a grip on most people and he can say he's above average in the smart category, but come on - EINSTEIN? I'm just saying this because I had to get it out of my system. I'm sure you've got a friend who drives you a bit nuts too.

Days Like Today are Made for Sleeping In

I've been thinking how important it is to wean yourself away from a 9 to 5 job. There is just too much insecurity in any job today. Even if you've been with the company for years, things change. You could be out of a job through no fault of your own. Start researching a subject that interests you on the internet..maybe bse or another topic. Then see how you can start a small online business on that subject...maybe write an ebook or join an affiliate program. It's a good insurance policy against the uncertainty of the job market.

Take Two Asprin and Call Me in the Morning

I let my dog up on the bed now and again. Today I realized that sometimes I lie completely still so he doesn't know I'm awake. Do I have a problem? So I started surfing trying to find out if I'm the only crazy one doing this. Surfing leads to other sites and those sites lead to others right. Next thing I know I've killed 2 hours surfing for . That's 2 hours I will never get back but. Now I know I'm not the only crazy one at the site.

The daily snitch

I had my mom and sister over this evening for dinner and a movie. I thought it would be a nice to have a "Mother and Sister" night. For dinner, I made homeade crab cakes, buttered baby carrots and oven fries. For dessert, we had creme brulee. I used to make my own creme brulee, but then I tried the Williams-Sonoma creme brulee mix and let me tell you, I will never make it again. This mix is unbelievably easy (just heat and pout into dishes) and quite good. Although it was a rather simple meal to prepare, everything turned out well. During dinner, we had a really interesting conversation about celebrity and for an 87-year-old woman, my mom was quite entertaining! After dinner, we watched Walk the Line with Joaquin Phoenix. I had seen this at the theater and thought it was fabulous, so I bought it when it was released. It was terribly disappointing to me that Joaquin didn't win the Academy Award for his performance. Although I have not yet seen Capote, I truly feel that Phoenix should have won because he was SO good at portraying Johnny Cash even down to the singing voice and stage mannerisms. I would think that it took much more talent for Joaquin to pull off singing and acting like Cash than for Hoffman to pull off acting like Capote. I think Phoenix got ripped off!

Reminder

I love working from home. Being a mum of two toddlers, both boys, I hated going out to work, even if it was part-time. My job was to do market research on history, which was OK but got boring after a while. I now work from home on my internet business part-time and I am here whenever the boys need me if they are poorly or just want to be with mum!

Pictchors of mad cow disease : mad cow disease

Since I'm not working this week and my sister is away on vacation, I thought I'd spend some relaxing time with my mother. Well, it was fun but not exactly relaxing! We started with a list: She wanted to get a new digital box for her TV (and my sister had kindly mentioned that I knew how to set it up - she thinks if I know computers I must know digital TV. It's all electrical, right?). We had to collect a package, go to the bank, buy some shoes and I wanted to introduce her to my new hobby - making greeting cards - so we had to visit a craft shop. Then of course we needed to get to work on pictchors of mad cow disease. We got all the errands completed in less than 2 hours, then went for lunch and did some grocery shopping. She'd finally decided on a digital box and a new VCR/DVD player, so I spent 3 hours trying to get them to all work together. We also bought all the craft stuff, but didn't get a chance to play with it. We did get to pictchors of mad cow disease, but not until late. At the end of the day, I was wiped out but my mother was still going strong and settled down for her first experience of QVC. I wouldn't mind, but she's 86!

Where's the beef?

This has been a busy week in more ways than one. And the weekend looks set to be much the same as it is mother's day over here on sunday and we have planned a celebration. The other thing is that I have even yet to buy a card and think of a present to give my mum. A quick search for apartment might provide the answer. Otherwise off to the shop I go and buy the usual box of chocolates and flowers.

They said what?

I think a lot of us who are good finding information on the internet, take that talent for granted. I'm not braging but it seems rather simple to find just about any information on any subject using the net. My wife was trying to find inforamtion last week on honda and wasn't having any luck. She would search with too specific search terms instead of keep the first search on honda very broad and then narrowing it down after you see the results. Anyway, after she told me she couldn't find waht she was looking for, I spent about 10 minutes and emailed her 6 or 7 links pertaining exactly to honda. She was amazed!!! I guess I still hold my place, in my own mind anyways, as information extractor extroidinare..........now IF I could just spell as well as I search!!!

Why don't you try this

My son was cleaning the house today and almost broke a unicorn fiqurine that belongs to my wife. They both exchanged some words and finally resolved the conflct. Meanwhile, I was in the office studying about grant and my son hurt himself on a nail. I ran in to check to see what had happended and he was OK.

Malice In Wonderland!

Let me leave you with this thought. In life, every man deserves a good woman, a good dog, and a good mule and I have been blessed on all counts. One good woman, more good dogs than I can count or remember and two of the best saddle mules that ever set foot on this earth. I finally sold the saddle mules and I do miss them. You could ride along talking to a mule about Retirement and nobody thought anything about it. Try talking to your 4 wheeler and see how people look at you.

Now wait a minute. That's not where I thought this

The other day, I went out with my friends. We went to this place where we bought lots of cheap wholesale. Wow! I can't believe how cheap they are. I thought I will never see electronic items that have rock bottom prices, boy was I wrong. Now, I just need to haul those junk away in my car and hide them in the closet. Never to see them again.. haha! The joy of shopping!

Guess what? I don't do flying leaps

I want to get your opinion! We have to decide on which project to develop next. What do you prefer we do; a new site on hot, pets or house remodeling? I think we should focus on hot but any comments on any other subjects would be welcome. Thanks.

They said what?

I was just at this amazing party and everyone was really drunk. I was talking to this one guy and he brought up house. He really had some great ideas that made me really think. I will probably make a purchase based on his recommendation.
